22 Indigenous Governments, the Government of Canada, the Government of the Northwest Territories, and private donors signed an historic agreement on November 14, 2024.
The NWT: Our Land for the Future agreement will fund Indigenous-led conservation, stewardship, and economic development across the Northwest Territories.
It will be one of the largest Indigenous-led conservation land initiatives in the world.
